Offshore Wind Energy Network

The Offshore Wind Energy Network (OWEN) was a joint industry/academia collaboration. It promoted research on all issues connected with development of the UK's offshore wind resource and encouraged co-operation and partnership between and commercial organisations and researchers. OWEN effectively ended in April 2005

OWEN was financially supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) from 1995 to 2005, and was greatly aided by the active encouragement and participation of the British Wind Energy Association (BWEA).

Offshore Wind Energy in the UK

Since 2005, when the funding of the Network ceased, this web site has been maintained as a historic archive.

Offshore wind energy events and networking activities are carried out by the British Wind Energy Association (BWEA)
